Mesh banners
A banner woven with small open holes so wind passes through. Used on fences, scaffolding and building sides.
A big solid banner on a fence acts like a sail. In a strong gust it tears grommets out or pulls the fence over. Mesh lets part of the wind through, so the load drops a lot.
The trade
- Colors are a little less punchy because part of the surface is open.
- Fine detail and small text get lost. Bold, simple layouts work best.
- Up close you can see through it. From the street it reads as solid.
Use mesh for large outdoor banners on fences, scaffolding, athletic fields and building sides. For smaller banners and anything indoors, regular vinyl looks better.
